CASTELE MUZEE

Romania hosts a series of castles with a charm reminiscent of tales of princes and princesses. Many of these castles have entered the charts of the most beautiful castles in Europe and the world.
 
Bran Castle
    
Certified first century XIV, Bran Castle was built in 1212. It was used as a royal residence for 40 years.

Hunyadi Castle is one of the most important monuments of Gothic architecture in Transylvania, built in the XVth century. Castle is an impressive building that has 42 rooms, 2 terraces, a church courtyard and fountain. Almost every detail of every building there is a legend.
   
The most beautiful of these is related to the inscription on the fountain courtyard. According to legend, the well was dug by three Turkish prisoners who were promised they would be released if they manage to dig in stone until they give water. Owners have not kept his word and did not free the three Turks. It says that the inscription on the fountain wall means "water of the heart did not you".
    
During the reign of Matthias Corvinus, son of John Hunyadi, building a new wing called Renaissance loggia. Paintings you see in this part of the castle illustrates aspects of noble life, that raven legend, famous in these parts.
